Your IP Address
The Internet Protocol (IP) address your computer uses to communicate on the Internet is as follows:
38.107.179.241
What is an IP address?
An IP address is used so that your computer can send and receive messages on the Internet. It uniquely identifies your modem/router, and is specific to your Internet connection.
Can an IP address personally identify me?
Generally speaking, no. Your IP address is specific to your modem, but only your Internet Service Provider (ISP) can see who owns that modem, and will only reveal that if required by law enforcement.
Why am I being asked for my IP address?
Technical support will sometimes ask for your IP address for diagnostic purposes. It can assist support staff with tracking down problems relating to e-mail, web browsing, or other services.
